Using Fireworks, students will produce a poster describing a mythological or historical figure or event from ancient Greece or Rome. The students will work in teams of three to create this poster which must incorporate the following elements: a background suitable for the topic; three relevant images; and text (in Latin) explaining each image .

  1. In the student server you will create a folder with your team name inside of the Ignium folder. In this folder you will save all your work. The word rocess text i Mocrosoft Word, all your .jpg images and your Fireworks file in .png format.
  2. Your poster should include a background suitable for the topic; three relevant images; text (in Latin) explaining each image and incorporating these constructions: Indirect Statement, Ablative Absolute, Subjunctive Construction (Each team member chooses a different one.), Adverbial Clause of Purpose, Substantive Clause of Purpose, Adverbial Clause of Result, Substantive Clause of Result, Indirect Question and Fearing
  3. Individually, each student is responsible for locating an image and writing its description in correct Latin. As a team, the students will complete this assigment in the computer lab on December 10 and 11.
  4. This project will count for 35% of the final exam.
  5. Upom completion of the poster it will be posted to this wikispace and shared with peers

Individually, each student will receive a grade for her contribution to the project according to this rubric:

and deadlines 4 points

Through this project students advanced their technology skills by using a new application, Fireworks, to produce their posters. They also perfected their language skills as they wrote and thought in the language.
